About NHS

Becoming a member of the National Honor Society is one of the highest honors an Eastern High School student can achieve. The purpose of the National Honor Society is to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in the students of Eastern Local High School.

This year our NHS members have invested over 1000 hours to the community; this includes special events, music appreciation, working with veterans, Pike County development, youth programs, recycling, STEM events, coaching younger students and student-athletes, and providing positive influences in the school.
